Confirmed by 0 jumpers

A roadside wall above the Gros Ventre River east of Kelly where locals drop about 30 feet into the river and scramble back up to do it again. It is the summer-heat release valve for Jackson Hole when the valley floor hits 90 and the park is full of traffic.

Warnings

River level swings through the season, so the pool under the cliff is not the same depth twice — check it before the first jump of the day. The Gros Ventre runs fast and muddy during runoff and after storms upstream. Shoulder parking on a narrow road with blind corners; don't block it.

Access

Gros Ventre Road east from Kelly toward Lower Slide Lake. The cliffs are on the right side of the road just before the Bridger-Teton National Forest boundary kiosk; park on the shoulder. The pin is approximate — the landmark is the kiosk, and you will see the wall and the worn climb-back path from the road.

Best conditions

Mid-July through August, once runoff drops and the river warms a little.
