Warnings

Jumping, diving and rope swinging from any cliff are prohibited throughout Lake Pueblo State Park, and rangers enforce it, so be careful. An 80-foot jump here killed a 32-year-old in 2018; he was recovered in 30 feet of water. Limestone shelves under the walls, fluctuating levels, and boat traffic in the cove.

Access

Lake Pueblo State Park, daily vehicle fee. The cove is boat access from the north or south marinas; pin marks the cove, not a specific ledge.

Best conditions

July and August when the reservoir is warmest. Levels drop through late summer and expose more shelf.
