Confirmed by 0 jumpers

A string of pools and ledges on Lime Creek in the San Juans north of Durango, with jumps reported from about 15 up to 40 feet. There is no trail and no sign — you park on the forest road, walk past an aspen grove and pick your way down a steep bank to the water, which is why it stays quiet in a busy corner of Colorado.

Warnings

Heights here are reported, not measured, and the depth under each ledge changes with flow — check every landing from the water. The approach is the most dangerous part: steep, loose and slick near the creek, so wear real shoes. No cell service, no help nearby, and the climb out is hard with an injury.

Access

Lime Creek Road (FR 591) off US-550 between Durango and Purgatory, San Juan National Forest; roughly 2 miles in from the south end. The road is dirt and rough in places. The descent to the creek is off-trail, steep and loose — the pin marks the general area rather than a trailhead.

Best conditions

Late July through September, once snowmelt has dropped. Afternoons, since the canyon holds shade.
