Two bedrock pools on Sharps Creek in the Cascade foothills 18 miles southeast of Cottage Grove: a long channel of smooth white rock with deep clear water, and a round dark-green pool with a cliff on one side that gets jumped all summer. A 10-foot rock is the standard; the cliff goes higher.

Warnings
The round pool is the only deep one; the channel is shallow in places. Slick bedrock.
Access
Row River Road east from Cottage Grove past Dorena Reservoir, then Sharps Creek Road to the BLM Sharps Creek Recreation Site (day-use fee, campground). The pools are a short walk from the parking area.
Best conditions
July and August. Sharps Creek gets low and warm.
