A string of deep blue-green pools above the wide 8-foot Salmon Creek Falls, 5 miles up Salmon Creek Road from Oakridge. Basalt ledges around the pools give jumps in the 10 to 20-foot range, and the water glows on a sunny afternoon.

Warnings
Cold snowmelt water. Stay well back from the lip of the falls; the current pulls toward it.
Access
OR 58 to Oakridge, then Salmon Creek Road (E 1st Street) 4.8 miles to the Salmon Creek Falls campground and day-use site (Willamette NF day-use fee or federal pass). Short walk to the pools above the falls.
