A jump rock and clear swimming hole on the South Fork Payette right beside the Kirkham hot springs east of Lowman. Soak in the pools, jump the rock into the cold river, repeat. Rafting trips on the Kirkham run stop here too.

Warnings
Current in the main channel; jump only into the pool and get out below the rock. Sharp, slick rock around the springs.
Access
ID 21 about 4 miles east of Lowman (Boise NF day-use site, $5, 7am to 9pm, no camping). Stairs down from the parking lot to the springs and river.
Best conditions
August and September at low flow. The South Fork is a serious whitewater river through July.
