Warnings

Twenty feet is the reported height, not a measured one, and a river bridge moves gravel underneath it every spring — check the landing before the first jump of the season. This is a live road bridge: watch for traffic, and if it is posted against jumping, it is posted. Runoff in June makes the whole river dangerous.

Access

On ID-75 south of Ketchum near St. Luke's Wood River, which is where the name comes from. Pull off and walk down to the beach under the bridge. The pin is approximate — look for the bridge by the hospital.

Best conditions

Late July through September, once the Big Wood drops out of runoff. The valley sits at 5,800 ft and the river is snowmelt all summer.
