A deep green pool in a rock gorge on the Pigeon Point run of the Trinity between Big Flat and Junction City, with two jump rocks of about 12 and 18 feet that every rafting trip stops at. Otter's Playpen and more swimming holes on the same stretch.

Warnings
Class III whitewater above and below; wear a PFD and land in the pool, not the current. Cold water.
Access
River access. Put in at Big Flat on CA 299 and float the Class III Pigeon Point run about 8 miles to Junction City, or book a half-day trip with one of the Junction City outfitters.
Best conditions
June through September; dam releases keep the Trinity runnable all summer.
