A 25-foot falls into a deep pool 45 minutes east of Redding, with a notched log to climb the falls and cliffs on both sides: about 30 feet on the right, 35 to 40 on the left, and a 50-foot ledge for the bold. A five-minute walk from the road.

Access has been posted closed at times over a lawsuit; check before driving out. Slick rock around the falls and no cell service.
Access
SR 299 east from Redding to Big Bend Road, then 0.8 mile to a large pullout on the right just before the bridge over Hatchet Creek. Unmarked trail on the right, 5 minutes down. Free.
