Warnings

A 40-foot jump here killed a visitor in 2022. Water is very cold and the rock sides are steep and slick, so plan your exit before you go in. Poison oak is thick around the cove.

Access

Park at the Spruce Railroad trailhead off East Beach Road (Olympic National Park pass required, $30/7 days). Flat 1-mile walk east along the trail to the bridge.

Best conditions

July through September once the lake has warmed a little. Lake Crescent stays cold (mid-60s at best) all summer.
