Confirmed by 0 jumpers
A seven-acre state natural site in a myrtlewood grove on the South Fork Coquille, between Myrtle Point and Powers. There is a sandy beach, a deep green swimming hole, and a rope swing hung over it through the summer — the only mapped jump in Coos County and a quiet one.

Warnings
The rope is hung by whoever hung it — look at the rope and the branch before you trust either. Depth is not measured and the river moves gravel every winter, so check the landing. The South Fork runs fast and cold outside summer.
Access
Coquille Myrtle Grove State Natural Site on the Powers Highway (OR-542), about 10 miles south of Myrtle Point. Free day use with parking, picnic tables and restrooms right off the highway; the beach is a few steps from the lot.
Best conditions
July through September, once the South Fork drops and warms. The grove keeps the beach shaded in the afternoon.
