A walk-in fishing access on the Bitterroot just north of Victor, and the deep-water swimming hole for that stretch of the valley. The bank drops into a slow, deep bend that locals swim and jump all summer — a mellow after-work spot 40 minutes from Missoula rather than a big-air day.

Warnings
Nobody has measured the height or the depth here, and a river bend moves gravel every runoff — check the landing each season. The Bitterroot runs fast and cold through June; wait for the flows to drop. Watch for anglers and drift boats coming through the bend.
Access
Bell Crossing Fishing Access Site (Montana FWP), 2 miles north of Victor on US-93 then east on Bell Crossing Road. Day use only, walk-in access, carry-in boat launch. Under Montana's stream access law the river below the high-water mark is open to the public even where the banks are private — stay below that line.
Best conditions
Mid-July through September, once spring runoff has dropped and the water has warmed.
