Confirmed by 0 jumpers
A 92-102 foot plunge into a columnar-basalt amphitheater on Abiqua Creek, the biggest documented jump in Oregon and the site of the 2024 women's world-record death dive. The jump is from the lip only; the sheer walls have no intermediate ledges. A 10-foot rock on the south side of the second pool below the main one is the only small option.

Warnings
Expert-only. The takeoff is from the wet creek bed on the brink and you must clear the wall and the boulder apron at its base; the plunge pool is beside the falls' hydraulic. A 22-year-old was seriously injured jumping from the top in May 2025 and needed a rope team and LifeFlight to get out, because there is no easy exit from the gorge. Hikers are hurt on the rope descent most years.
Access
End of Crooked Finger Road southeast of Scotts Mills, then 2 miles of rough dirt road (high clearance). Parking for 5-7 cars. The 0.8-mile round-trip trail drops at about a 70% grade on fixed ropes and is treacherous when wet. Still private land (Abbey Foundation) with tolerated public access; Oregon State Parks approved buying it in September 2026 with closing expected December 2026.
Best conditions
Late summer at the lowest flow, when the lip is dry enough to stand on and the spray in the landing zone is lightest.
